Michigan’s Most Unique Easter Egg Hunt Happens Underwater!
Easter is on the way, and there are a few things you’re likely to do if you’re celebrating with your family. Obviously you want to dye eggs and get a selfie with the Easter Bunny, but how can you take that boring old Easter Egg hunt and turn it into something fun and unique?
Forget hunting for eggs in the grass—how about searching for them underwater? The Splish Splash Egg Dash at Delta College in University Center is putting a new spin on the classic Easter tradition, and it’s an event unlike any other in Michigan.

If you’re willing to get wet to get your easter egg hunt on, On Friday, April 18, from 2 - 4 pm, kids ages 1 to 14 will be able to dive into the Delta College swimming pool for a one-of-a-kind Easter egg hunt. Instead of scouring the ground, they’ll be swimming, splashing, and diving for colorful eggs floating beneath the surface.
Don’t worry if you have a smaller kid or a weaker swimmer; participants will be grouped into swimming zones based on age and ability, so everyone can safely enjoy the fun at their own pace.
In addition to the egg hunt, kids will be able to enjoy games, recreational swim time, and, of course, a goodie bag filled with treats. This seems like such a cute way to celebrate, especially now that my son is out of swim lessons! Admission is $12 per child, and it’s recommended to bring goggles and a plastic basket to collect your eggs. (After all, those felt ones won’t do well in the water)
If you’re looking for an Easter event that stands out from the usual candy-filled baskets and backyard hunts, this is the perfect opportunity for your kiddos. So grab your swimsuits, pack those goggles, and get ready to make a splash—this is one Easter tradition your kids won’t forget! For more details, visit Delta College’s Fitness & Recreation Center website.
