Videos, Plates, and Vacations – Steve’s Daddy Tips
Hi, I’m Steve and I’m a new Dad who has learned a lot of things over the last several months and I want to pass along some knowledge to you!
Each week I will be giving you some new tips for first-time parents and one spectacular Dad joke! So let's get to the tips!
- Today’s first Daddy Tip is that you need to save every video you take of your child even if it is bad because you might just be able to embarrass your little one with it later! For example, Charlotte has been doing some fun new dances lately and I’ve been trying to catch them on video, but every time I pull my phone out, something goes awry. Like, the first time I tried to get it on video, our dog knocked her down and then she tried to grab his ding dong, so I got that on camera. Or the other time I tried that day and when she saw me filming her, she just walked over and fell into my lap and she kneed me right in the groin. So you better believe those 2 videos will be shown at her graduation.
- The next Daddy Tip is that toddler plates are amazing and even adults should use them. Seriously, they have the plate all divided up into different sections so they are perfect for snack time. You put your dipping sauce in one partition, and then your cheese curds in another, and your mini sausage bits in another. Who cares if it’s a My Little Pony plate, it’s still dope as heck!
- And the final Daddy Tip is a trick you can use on your friends and family when you bring your baby to visit! When they ask what kind of stuff your baby likes to eat, be sure to include some extras for yourself. Oh, thanks for asking what Charlotte likes, you can get her applesauce, cheerios, craft beer, hummus, pita, sour patch kids, turkey, cheese, and Jack Daniels Whiskey. Boom! They’ll not even think twice and just buy everything on the list. You’re welcome.
And now it’s time for an awesome Dad Joke!
