A flood advisory continues for Kent and Ionia counties until further notice.

More specifically we're looking at the Grand River near Comstock Park. At 10 a.m. Saturday the stage was 10.9 feet; flood stage is at 12 feet. The National Weather Service's Grand Rapids Office predicts the river will rise to near 11.8 feet by Monday morning.

Expect minor flooding of homes along Abrigador Trail.

A flood advisory means minor flooding is possible and rivers are forecast to exceed bankful. If you are in an advisory area remain alert to possible flooding ... or the possibility of the advisory being upgraded to a warning. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request that they pass this information on to the National Weather Service.

At 10 a.m. Saturday the Grand River at Ionia was at 18 feet, flood stage is at 21 feet. The National Weather Service predicts the river will rise to 18.7 feet by Sunday night.
