West Michigan Military Dad Surprises Family at Soccer Game
Picture this: a heartwarming scene unfolded over the weekend in Allegan County that will melt your heart. After five long months away on deployment, U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Hart Haire pulled off an unforgettable surprise for his family last Sunday at the Force Soccer Club in Plainwell, right in the middle of his son's game.
In video that was originally shared with Fox17, you can see the raw emotion wash over Hart Haire as he calls out to his 10-year-old son, Emmett. And within seconds, Emmett is right there, sharing in the overwhelming joy.
But it wasn't a surprise for just his son, his entire family was shocked to see him at the game. A surprised and teary-eyed Layla, who is only 7 years old, and Shauna, his grateful wife, soon joined the heartwarming reunion.
Can you imagine their faces? They were all expecting him home a week later! Truly a tear jerking moment for everyone involved.
Hart Haire shared that his latest deployment took him to Southwest Asia with the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, and that it marked his fourth deployment in his impressive 23-year career as an airman, and the first since 2015.
Can you believe the incredible love and emotion that filled that soccer field? It's moments like these that remind us of the sacrifices our servicemen and women make for our country. We're glad he's home with his family to enjoy the moments like this.
