West Michigan Native Ginger Zee Name To Good Morning America’s Weekday Lineup

West Michigan's own Ginger Zee has made another step into the national spotlight. ABC News announced this morning at Ginger is being added to their weekday lineup.

Ginger is originally from Rockford, and worked for WOOD-TV 8 before moving on to a news station in Chicago and ultimately ending up on Good Morning America on the weekends.

She will be replacing main Good Morning America weather anchor Sam Champion, who is leaving ABC to take a job with The Weather Channel.

Champion's last day on GMA will be Wednesday.
