
West Michigan Under Enhanced Risk for Severe Storms Tuesday Night
West Michigan has been on a weird weather roller-coaster over the past month or so. We've seen snow, high winds, tornadoes, flooding, thunderstorms, hail, and, occasionally, warm, sunny days.
And Tuesday night, it appears that we could be in for a wild ride again, as meteorologists predict that severe weather will move through the area.

FOX-17 Chief Meteorologist Kevin Craig says that all of southwest lower Michigan is now under an enhanced risk (level three out of five) for severe weather Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

So what's in store for us? For starters, thunderstorms that will likely bring heavy rain throughout the area. Kevin says that some of those storms have the potential to produce golf ball-sized hail and strong (potentially straight line) winds.

Meteorologists aren't ruling out the possibility of tornadoes forming in some areas of southwest Michigan. Currently, West Michigan is predicted to have a 30% chance of "severe wind," a 5% chance of tornadoes, and a 15% chance of "severe hail".
The entire area remains under a flood watch through 2 a.m. on Friday, April 17.
