Starting in July, you won’t have to make a dinner reservation to get your hands on some of Grand Rapids’ favorite Asian-inspired flavors.

The Xiong family who are known for their popular local restaurants like Toastn’ Tea, Bangkok Taste Cuisine, Bliss and Vinegar, and KK Pepper Thai, are launching a line of signature sauces in 16 Meijer stores across the Grand Rapids area starting in July.

And of course it makes sense for Meijer to join forces with this local family. They’re also based in Grand Rapids and have a long history of supporting Michigan-made products. So teaming up with a homegrown culinary family like the Xiongs feels like a natural (and delicious) fit.

The Xiongs’ story is rooted in the American dream. Ashley and Mai See Xiong’s parents immigrated from Laos to Michigan in 1988, laying the groundwork for what would become a flavorful legacy. With five sons and three daughters, the family has made their mark on the West Michigan food scene.

The sauces include Sweet and Sour, Korean Aioli, and Plum, capture the bold, comforting flavors the Xiong family has built their culinary reputation on. And now, thanks to a partnership with Meijer, they’re bringing those flavors straight to your fridge.

So next time you’re at Meijer (starting in July) check the sauce aisle and you might just find a new local favorite to spice up your next meal.
