Your Kids Can Get A Free Bike Helmet June 1st At Garfield Park
We’ve had a few reminders that spring and eventually summer is on their way, which means kids are soon going to be outside playing and riding bikes all over the city, which also makes it a good time for Lids For Kids Michigan to host their Lids For Kids event.
GRPD posted the details for the free, community event on their Facebook page, but it’s open to all residents in West Michigan.
The event happens Saturday June 1st at Garfield Park, at the Burton St/Jefferson Ave. entrance, from 10 am to noon. Professionals and volunteers will be properly fitting each kid with a FREE bike helmet and teaching safety tips. Yes, you read that right, your kids will get a free bike helmet!
Kids can also, once they get and wear their new helmet, sign up to win free stuff, including a new bike! There will also be games to play along with the local police and fire department hanging out letting you check out their vehicles and stuff.
