One of those popular water park destinations experienced a chemical accident that required at least 11 people to be medically evaluated, and some even needed to go to the hospital for further treatment.

Tuesday morning the Frankenmuth Fire Department was called to Zehnder's Splash Village about a possible chemical accident.

It is believed that the chemical system that feeds into the pool had some kind of issue or malfunction, which led to it adding an unsafe amount of chemicals into the water.

I hope everyone that had to get medical attention and the people who we're taken to the hospital are able to fully recover and feel better soon.
