I know several friends who pack up the kids and head to waterpark resorts, where the kids can have a great time splashing around, and the parents are happy because, by the end of the day, they're usually exhausted.

One of those popular water park destinations experienced a chemical accident that required at least 11 people to be medically evaluated, and some even needed to go to the hospital for further treatment.

Tuesday morning the Frankenmuth Fire Department was called to Zehnder's Splash Village about a possible chemical accident.

It is believed that the chemical system that feeds into the pool had some kind of issue or malfunction, which led to it adding an unsafe amount of chemicals into the water.
