With the type of weather we have been having lately, the last thing you want to do is have to take your truck to get serviced but Ford is saying if your pickup is of a certain year, you need to bring it in.

According to WOOD, its recall time once again for Ford F-150 pickup trucks. Apparently there are roughly 1.5 million trucks that the transmissions can just out of nowhere downshift into first gear. Probably something you would not want happening when driving 70 miles per hour.

If you own a Ford F-150 with six speed automatic transmissions that was built in 2011 all the way through 2013, you will need to get your truck serviced at a dealership.

I really wish they would make better sensors for all vehicles because it seems they are 90% of what is wrong with most vehicles. Once again a speed sensor is the problem.

There have been at least 5 accidents that are linked to the F-150 automatically shifted down to first gear out of nowhere and one incident caused serious whiplash to a driver from the sudden downshift.

If you own a F-150, you should receive a letter beginning March 4th that will notify you the steps on getting your truck fixed. The dealership where you purchased your truck will have to go in and update the powertrain control software in order to fix the problem.

Ford's F-Series in the United States top selling vehicle but who knows if that will shift with all the recalls Ford have been having over the past few years.
