For some people being single is the scariest thought on the planet, but a new survey shows it's not always bad.

I've known this for a couple of years now, once you get over the fear of not having a relationship, things tend to really work out.

I was one of those people who ALWAYS had to be involved with someone, up until a couple years ago my biggest fear was not having a girlfriend, seriously. Don't get me wrong, I'm not Mr. "Commitment-Phobe" or Mr. Anti-Relationship, I've just found peace with myself and nothing beats it, for now.

On to the survey! This found people in relationship spend an average of $3,600 more each year compared to single people. That could be considered a pay cut!

Where's the money going? Places that you would come to expect: meals and nicer restaurants, movies, vacation, and they spent more money on looking good.

If you just found yourself single from the weekend, be prepared to save a massive amount of money this year!
