Amazon ‘Drivers’ in West Michigan Busted for Massive Delivery Scams
Scammers never take a break, that's why it's great to see stories like this where they're caught and facing some long prison time.

Recently the Kent County Sheriff’s Office discovered an organized criminal group in West Michigan that was working as third-party delivery drivers for Amazon.
But they never made the deliveries, instead they collected paychecks and kept some of items for themselves.
These 14 scammers from South America ranging in age from 22-43.
They will be appearing later this week in 63rd district court to face charges of conducting a criminal enterprise which is a 20-year felony if convicted.

According to Wood TV, Gavin Raynor, an Amazon security and loss prevention expert, thanked law enforcement for their efforts saying:
“We’re grateful for the swift action by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office and for their partnership throughout this investigation to bring these individuals to justice."
When police finally busted the crime ring which had set up shop in 4 different hotels they were able to seize 11 vehicles, 28 cellphones, nearly $14,000 in cash and more than 30 Amazon packages.
Police owe a big thanks to a loss prevention expert with Amazon’s distribution center on 68th Street SE in Gaines Township.
They contacted the sheriff’s department earlier this month about suspected embezzlement which has led to this major arrest.
I'm always amazed by how far criminals will go to try and scam people, and I'm also impressed with how law enforcement is able to work together and catch these criminals and put them away behind bars.
