For me, it was a big part of my summers at my aunt and uncle's cottage in Milford.

I remember there always being plenty of Faygo Redpop, Root Beer, Rock & Rye, and Moon Mist in the fridge right next to the nightcrawlers we used to go fishing.

The History of Faygo

The popular pop was created in 1907 by two brothers who immigrated from Russia.

Ben and Perry Feigenson had three original flavors: Fruit Punch, Strawberry (now known as Redpop), and Grape.

When they first started out, the company was called the Feigenson Brothers Bottling Works, but they changed the name to Faygo in 1921.

Then in 1935, they moved their facility to Gratiot Avenue in Detroit, where they still make Faygo to this very day.
