Imagine your big day, you’ve been planning, spending, planning, and more spending. All was going to the plan, until your other half got cold feet and ran away. Now what?

You know the saying “turning lemons to lemonade?” That’s exactly what this newly single Seattle bride did.

Dana Olsen was about to get married January 16th, but six weeks ago her fiancé told her he didn’t want to get married. Since the cancellation came a too close to the event, there was no refund to collect on, this is where the lemonade gets made.

Olsen and her mother got the idea to team up with Mary’s Place Shelter in Seattle to throw an event for the homeless.

150 people have been invited to the event which will include makeovers for 42 of the homeless women in attendance, they’ll even get jewelry and dresses to wear.

There will be a fully catered meal, band, and just an all-out fun night for people who typically don’t get an evening like this.

See, lemons into lemonade. She even made the lemonade for others to enjoy.
