Bruno Mars Surprise-Announces Ford Field Show for 2026
Quick, send a message to your group chat because Bruno Mars just surprise-announced a massive tour, and yes, Michigan is getting a stop.
The 40-year-old hitmaker is bringing The Romantic Tour to Ford Field on May 9, giving Detroit its biggest Bruno Mars show to date.
The tour announcement landed just one day after Mars’ camp revealed his new album, The Romantic, is dropping February 27th with the title track coming out on Friday, January 9th.
If you’re like me and are already planning on who you want to go to the show with, tickets for the Ford Field show go on sale next Wednesday, January 15th at noon through Ticketmaster. If you want to try your luck early, presales begin beforehand, with sign-ups open through Mars’ website until 7am on Monday
He’s bringing a lineup full of our favorites along with him including Anderson .Paak will be part of the night in his DJ Pee .Wee persona, and Grammy-nominated singer Leon Thomas will also join the bill.
The Romantic Tour officially kicks off April 10 in Las Vegas and runs 38 dates before wrapping October 14 in Vancouver. Detroit’s stop sits right near the front of that run, which is always a good sign we’ll get to see something special happen during his stop in the motor city.
For Michigan fans, this is a big deal. The Ford Field show marks Bruno Mars’ first Detroit concert since his two-night run at Little Caesars Arena back in September 2018 during the 24K Magic World Tour. And it’s already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated shows of the year.
It also adds to what’s becoming a very busy 2026 at Ford Field. Mars joins Foo Fighters (August 6th), Chris Stapleton (August 8th) and Ed Sheeran (August 29th) on the venue’s growing concert calendar.
