This Popular Mexican Restaurant Is Finally Coming To Rockford

If you're like me and could eat Mexican food for every meal than this is some exciting news that is sure to make your belly happy.

The City of Rockford will finally be getting a Chipotle.

Chipotle the fast-casual chain restaurants specializes in Tex-Mex cuisine, including salads, tacos, and Mission-style burritos made to order.

Founded by Steve Ells in 1993 in Denver, Colorado, the restaurant has grown significantly, boasting approximately 3,500 locations as of mid-2024.

Currently 63 of those locations are here in Michigan with several of them in West Michigan.

This new Chipotle location in Rockford will be the states 64th.

Where Is The New Chipotle In Rockford?

The restaurant will be at 2887 10 Mile Rd NE in Rockford.

The new location will feature a "Chipotlane," which is a drive-thru pick-up lane where guests can pick up online orders without leaving their cars.

When Is The New Chipotle Opening In Rockford?

According to Mlive, Representatives for Chipotle did not immediately respond when asked about the location’s opening date.

But, under the restaurant’s bio on Google, it says it’s expected to open in September.
