Dear Pronto Pup, You’re The Best Part of West Michigan
I'm new to West Michigan, so I've spent the last four months of my life going overboard in attempt to try everything and truly indulge myself in the most pure of Michigan.
I've gone on hikes in the woods, and walks on the beach.
I've tried every arcade within 150 miles.
I've even played my fair share of golf (both mini, and full sized.)
But of all the things I've tried so far, the best one has been the Pronto Pup I had for dinner last night.
There is something extra special about the small stand located right off the beach in Grand Haven. But, after the way my co-host Joe constantly bragged about them, I knew they were a must have.
I consider myself a bit of a corndog connoisseur. I've tried all of the brands, I've tried them in every city, and I have strong opinions on if it's okay to use non-beef hot dogs when making them.
The Pronto Pup is the king of all corndogs
To be honest, they shouldn't even be called corndogs. I'm going to just call them kingdogs because they're in a league of their own.
They're the perfect size. You can totally have one or two and be happy, but why not have six? Since they're only $1.75 each, it's the most economic meal choice you can make in 2022.
And they're handheld, so you don't have to awkwardly stand around and eat it trying not to look too weird. You can just stroll towards the beach and by the time you're to the pier, those pups will be tasty memories.
And weirdly, I'm just going to assume they're questionably more healthy. They haven't been frozen for ages at least, because you see them made right in front of you.
So while yes, there are a million reasons why living in Michigan is awesome, the most important and most undercelebrated one? The greatest lakeside treat: The Pronto Pup
