His journey as a fan started back in 1957 when he attended his first Lions game with his family. The Lions were playing in the National Championship game and came out victorious.

After that game, Benjamin decided to get season tickets for the Detroit Lions thinking the winning would continue. Unfortunately for Benjamin and all of us fellow Lions fans things didn't go the way we had hoped for.

In a too-close-for-comfort game, the Lions beat the Los Angeles Rams 24-23 and advanced to the next round of the playoffs for the first time since 1992.

The NFL featured Benjamin in a TikTok video it captioned “loyalty runs deep,” with a caption during the clip stating: “Can’t call Benjamin a bandwagon fan.”

As a season ticket holder, Benjamin never misses a game. Rain or shine, win or lose, you can find him in the stands, proudly sporting his Detroit Lions gear.
