COVID, the flu, norovirus, and RSV cases are surging throughout the country and that's no different here in West Michigan. As a result Corewell Health, the health system behind Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, has announced temporary changes to their visitor policy.
This change only affects those in the pediatric inpatient areas.
For those patients, only two people (non-medical staff) will be allowed into a room during the day. At night, only one visitor may be there.

How to Protect Yourself From COVID, Flu, Norovirus, and RSV
There are several ways to protect yourself and your family from contracting these highly contagious viruses that are running rampant in our community.
For RSV, vaccines have recently been released that can be obtained for infants and children, pregnant people, and senior citizens.
Additionally, common sense tells us that to avoid contracting viruses such as these, folks should be sure to wash their hands frequently and get all applicable vaccines if they are able.

It should also go without saying that you should stay home if you are sick if you are able.
