Exotic Snack Guys to Open at Woodland Mall This Year

Yesterday, I was doing my usual loop through Woodland Mall when something at the far end of the Macy's wing caught my eye: an empty storefront was now sporting a sign for something intriguing: Exotic Snack Guys.

My curiosity piqued, I stepped closer. This was not just another chain store or café, it was a glimpse of far-off flavors headed our way later this year.

I did some digging, and it appears that Exotic Snack Guys is a growing chain founded in June 2023 in Chicago by two high school friends with a shared passion for international treats. Since then, they’ve expanded rapidly, with around 34 locations across Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas, Indiana, and Iowa.

At Woodland Mall, their new location promises the same adventurous spirit. For snack fans and curious shoppers alike, this will be a chance to sample rare and trending treats without taking a long road trip or ordering online.

While the sign didn’t reveal an exact opening date, so I found a recent post from early August on their instagram page that says they’re planning to open that location very soon.

So it sounds like it’s just a matter of weeks (or maybe even days!) before we can get our hands on their mystery treats in person.

If you’re as excited as I am, according to their website and socials offer a curated selection of chips, drinks, chocolate, candy, and more from all corners of the globe. As well as the chance to explore Mystery Boxes which are just an adventurous grab-bag of exotic snacks and sodas. (My DREAM)
