Only 2 of These Giant Plushies Exist- One’s in Grand Rapids
If you’ve been to Woodland Mall lately, you may have spotted something strange. Something big, round, and adorably eerie.
Standing at a towering six feet tall and weighing more than 200 pounds, one of the world’s largest Squishable plushies now calls Grand Rapids home. He’s a giant, cuddly version of the brand’s iconic Plague Doctor, and trust me if you’re walking down the halls of the Woodland Mall he’s hard to miss.
Here’s my husband, who is 5’10’’, standing next to him for scale.
In fact, I saw him from outside, walked inside, and IMMEDIATELY started asking questions.
According to staff at the Squishable, it took multiple employees to move him into position after he arrived on a pallet. You read that right, this big boi arrived on a pallet.
There are only two of these giant plush figures in existence. His “twin” brother lives at the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania, but the one in Grand Rapids seems to have a flair for drama, and hugs.
While this giant plush isn’t for sale (sorry, dream big), you can pick up the next best thing: a half-sized version of the plague doctor (called Massive) that still clocks in at around $275. It’s not quite as huge, but it’s just as squishy and probably would fit in your car for the ride home a lot better.
If you’re strolling through Woodland Mall and looking for something a little weird and a lot of fun, stop by Squishable and say hi. He’s not going anywhere (and honestly, he gives a pretty great hug.)
