Go Wild: The John Ball Zoo Opens This Weekend For The 2022 Season

Grab the kids, get your sunscreen, and make room on your phone's camera roll: The John Ball Zoo is reopening for the 2022 season with lots of new fun in store!

The John Ball Zoo will be opening officially on Friday, March 25th at 10am!

They'll start with spring hours, so if you'd like to visit you can check them out Monday - Friday from 10am to 4pm, and Weekends they're open 9am to 6pm. They also have special hours for spring break.

This season is also special because the John Ball Zoo is teaming up with the San Diego Zoo to bring a few new animals for you to enjoy as well.

The zoo will also have a new exhibit this year called Washed Ashore. It features almost 20 giant sea life sculptures made of marine debris from the coast of the Pacific. This exhibit will allow guests to connect conservation and art, and won't be one to miss.

And for the super member of your family who loves all things hero: The season is taking flight with Superhero Day on Thursday, April 7th! You can wear capes and bring along your sidekicks to meet their favorite superheroes.

And if you want to join their team: the zoo is looking to add more volunteers and hire seasonal workers. Seasonal positions include jobs in food & beverage, retail, admissions & experiences, and education.
