Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has been admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in his right leg. Nearly a month ago, he tore his Achilles tendon while jogging.

The 56-year-old Snyder was admitted to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital near Ann Arbor late Thursday morning after noticing swelling in his leg, and doctors determined it was a blood clot.

It's unclear how long the governor will be hospitalized.
