The weather cooperated this weekend and 'Lip Dub' filming wrapped just before 3:00 Sunday afternoon. 'Lip Dub' will premiere at Celebration Cinema North on Wednesday, May 25.

Showtimes for 'Lip Dub' are Wednesday at 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00pm. Tickets cost $5 and money raised goes towards the cost of producing the event. There will also be a question and answer session.

There were five takes altogether and hundreds of participants including: Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell, Dick DeVos, the Forest Hills Central football team, Catholic Central cheerleaders, and many more.

Most participants would have only a few seconds of action before waiting...and waiting...and waiting for the next take. But that didn't stop anyone from having a good time.

One of the most entertaining time wasters was when an ambulance driver teamed up with a crew of singer/guitarists at the corner of Pearl and Monroe for an impromtu jam session. Who new a siren could be used effectively as a percussion instrument/record scratch?

Also entertaining was watching the Forest Hills Central football team carry on after each take. With no referees in sight, I viewed multiple personal fouls. And I'm just guessing that being tackled on concrete is more than a little bit painful.

Looking forward to seeing the completed project.
