This heatwave has made West Michigan pools and lakes more popular than ever, especially with kids.  Now some of those kids will be eligible for free swim lessons from the City of Grand Rapids.

Swim lessons will be held at Richmond, Briggs, and Martin Luther King pools.  Lessons start Tuesday, July 26.

The lessons are available to those who qualify for the free or reduced lunch program and live in Grand Rapids.  The program is made possible by a donation from Amway.

The kids will love this and it teaches them a valuable skill they can use for the rest of their lives.  There's even a parent/child class for ages 6 months - 3 years.  What a fun way to spend some time with the kids this summer!
