Eat Your Way Through GR: Restaurant Week Returns with 70+ Participants
If you’ve been craving an excuse to eat your way through Grand Rapids, GR Dining Week is back, and it’s bringing with it some of the best dishes the city has to offer.
Now in its 16th year, Grand Rapids Restaurant Week runs now through November 15 and features more than 70 local restaurants and over 80 unique menus. It’s the perfect excuse to finally try that new spot you’ve had saved on your phone or to see what your go-to favorite has cooked up just for the occasion.
Each participating restaurant is offering two or more courses at three different price points ($25, $35, or $45), so you can try a little or a lot depending on your budget. Some places are even adding cocktails into the mix this year, which sounds like the perfect way to toast to a night out.
I checked out the menu for one of my favorite Eastown spots, Asada, and even though I’ve eaten my way through most of their menu, this new Restaurant Week lineup has me excited to go back like it’s my first time through their doors.
But beyond the fun of exploring new flavors, Restaurant Week is also a great way to support local restaurants that, like so many small businesses, are still feeling the pinch of a tough economy. A busy week like this can make a real difference for the staff and owners who pour their heart into every dish.
You can make things easy by downloading a digital Restaurant Week pass, which lets you browse participating restaurants and menus, vote for your favorites, and even earn rewards just for checking in.
You can grab your free pass right now on the Experience GR website and start planning your week of flavor from some of Grand Rapids’ best spots to eat.
