GRPD: Missing 12-Year-Old Girl Has Been Found

UPDATE: The girl has been found safe, according to the GRPD.

The Grand Rapids Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating missing 12-year-old Melodi Alara Jones.

Jones allegedly ran away from her home and has not been seen since Monday, August 22 at around 3 p.m. She lives in the 1000 block of Sibley St. NW.

Melodi is 12 years old and is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs 90 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and may be wearing glasses. She was last seen with a pillow, blanket, and a large black bag that reads “I love big books.”
