UPDATE: As of Wednesday, October 22nd, Grand Rapids Police announced they have a subject in custody.

According to a release from the GRPD: Hollis Nunnery, aged 36, has been charged with Bank Robbery and Armed Robbery, both felony charges.

Here is the original news story about this week's robbery:

A typically quiet Monday morning in Grand Rapids turned tense after police say someone robbed a Lake Michigan Credit Union on Leonard Street, implying that they had a gun before taking off with an undisclosed amount of money.

It happened around 9:40 am at the branch located at 1820 Leonard St. NE, near Plymouth Avenue. According to Grand Rapids Police, the suspect was already gone when officers arrived on the scene, and as of late Monday morning, no one was in custody.

In a release, GRPD said the suspect “did obtain money before fleeing but the amount is not being disclosed at this time.” Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident, which is the most important thing. But, obviously they need to be held accountable for such a brazen act.

The FBI also responded to the scene to assist with the investigation (which is a standard move in cases involving bank robberies.) and police have not yet released a description of the suspect or any potential getaway vehicle.
