Geek Out With The Grand Rapids Public Library’s Own Comic Con
I'm a huge fan of everything comics and nerd culture. If it has Marvel or DC, count me in. And, if you have a kiddo (or adult) in your life who also loves comics, there is a unique event coming to Grand Rapids in July that they won't want to miss.
The Grand Rapids Public Library is hosting their annual Comic Geek Out, and it's perfect for geeks of all ages.
Some of the awesome things you can expect include the chance to meet voice Actor Jonah Scott who will be there, ready to meet and greet everyone who comes out.
But that's not all. There will be loads of hands-on activities to keep you entertained. Plus, you can munch on some delicious snacks while you're at it. Oh, and did I mention free books? That's right, you can grab some awesome reads to add to your collection.
If you're interested in learning more about comics, there's even a comic workshop where you can enhance your artistic skills. And trust me, there will be plenty of other fun events happening throughout the day.
The best part? Comic Geek Out is completely free and open to the public. So, bring your friends, bring your family, bring anyone who's a fan of comics and geek culture.
And as a little souvenir, you can take home a super cool 2023 Comic Geek Out poster designed by the talented Cody Coppernoll. But you better grab it fast because supplies are limited.
The event will be happening both indoors and outside at the Yankee Clipper Branch. So, rain or shine, you're in for a fantastic time. In case the weather doesn't cooperate, no worries- They'll move all the activities indoors, ensuring the fun continues without a hitch.
So, don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to geek out and have a blast at Comic Geek Out. Mark your calendars because it's all going down on Saturday, July 15 from 1:00 to 5:00pm at GRPL's Yankee Clipper Branch, located at 2025 Leonard NE.
