Gardening has seen an increase in popularity since the Covid-19 Pandemic.
For one reason It gives people a way to get outside and relax.
While you're out there on your hands and knees you're able to forget about the daily stressors and focus on taking care of and growing different plants.
Heck even me and my wife Lindsey jumped on board and tried to grow some veggies in our backyard.
My wife Lindsey was able to pick out some veggies to grow from her job at Meijer.
She brought home a jalapeno plant for Taco Tuesday's.
The Jalapeños actually turned out really good and had a nice kick.
What Gardening Classes Is The Grand Rapids Public Library Offering?
I'm excited that the GRPL has multiple classes you can attended to learn more about gardening.
- The ‘Gardening in Small Spaces‘ class is on Thursday, March 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Berean Baptist Church.
- The ‘Canning and Preservation Techniques‘ class is on Thursday, April 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Berean Baptist church.
- The ‘Wild World of Foraging‘ class is on Thursday, April 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Huff Park. That class is limited to 15 people, so you much register in advance. UPDATE CLASS IF FULL
