As school gets out, some kids start worrying about being hungry throughout the summer as they depend on the school lunch and breakfast programs for most of their meals.

This summer, 36 different locations around Grand Rapids will be providing free meals to kids up to 18 years old, according to MLive. They also say the GRPS program serves around 3,000 kids each summer.

MLive reports the meals are provided by The U.S. Department Of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program and served through the Grand Rapids Public Schools Nutritional Services.

While most of the free meal locations will open on June 10th, the Kroc Center, 2500 S Division Ave SE, will start serving meals June 4th and continue the Tuesday through Thursday lunch and afternoon snack service throughout the summer.
