
Caught On Camera: High Driver Slams Into Michigan State Police Cruiser
Anytime a police officer pulls someone over they're putting their lives on the line.
They never know who's inside of a vehicle or what their intentions might be.
Another dangerous part of the job is being on the side of the road after they pull a vehicle over.
Most of the time on roads with heavy traffic or faster speed limits police will come over to the passenger side window to speak with you and get your license and registration.

They do this to keep themselves out of the flow of traffic and allows the stopped vehicle to serve as a barrier between them and potential danger.
Thankfully the Michigan State Trooper did that on a recent traffic stop or they might not be alive.
Man On Drugs Hits Michigan State Troopers Vehicle
On Saturday June 7th a Michigan State Trooper was on the side of the road conducting a traffic stop when a 33 year old man from Missouri who was high on drugs veered right into his police cruiser.
The entire incident was caught on video by another MSP Trooper who was driving behind the man.
The man who hit the police cruiser was charged with operating under the influence of drugs (OUID) and taken to the Berrien County Jail.
