
Holland Public Schools Scramble To Recruit New Bus Drivers
School districts across the United States are struggling with a bus driver shortage.

Some parents of students who attended Holland Public Schools got a call they didn't want to get early Monday morning.
It was the school district calling to let parents know that they had canceled Bus No. 53.

That bus services Holland High School, Holland Middle School, Holland West Elementary, and the Language Academy.
Marketing and communications director for Holland Public Schools Jason Craner shared with Fox 17 how they want to address and fix this problem:
No one wants to get woken up at 6:30 on a Monday morning and hear that they can’t rely on the bus to be there. They don’t want to get their kid to school. It’s got to be so frustrating, especially on a Monday morning, We really want to fix these problems. We want to make sure that families can rely on transportation to get their kids to and from school.
Holland Public Schools is Recruiting New Bus Drivers
To address the bus driver shortage the district is currently recruiting new drivers.
They will be hosting job fairs through the fall and winter.
They also offer walk-in interviews if you wanted to become a bus driver.
