Guys, this doesn't look good for us.

A study that followed 2,700 couples from 1992 to 2010 shows that men are not always fit enough to take on the caregiver role if the misses falls ill.

Every 2 years the researchers asked the couples if either of them had been ill since the last time researchers met with them. Over the 18 years of this study, 32 percent ended in divorce. 24 percent had one person die, and 44 percent still had a successful marriage. The study goes on to show that of the 965 couples in which the woman got sick, the rate of divorce was 6 percent higher.

The research was published in the Journal of Health and Social Behaviour, you can read the report from The Daily Mail here.
