Is There Really A Virus That Makes People Stupid?

Scientists have found a virus that infects human brains, and causes us to act more stupid. This explains SO much!

This is the real deal, according to scientists at John Hopkins Medical School and the University of Nebraska.

It's an algae virus that "was found to affect cognitive functions including visual processing and spatial awareness."

Of the 90 people in the study, about 40% tested positive for this algae virus. They performed worse on tests that were designed to measure speed and accuracy of visual processing.

All along, I thought BuzzFeed was to blame.
