Alex Anzalone Leaves Detroit for Two-Year Deal in Tampa
The Detroit Lions roster has seen plenty of changes recently, and another surprise move has emerged: Alex Anzalone has signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Detroit Lions Linebacker Alex Anzalone
Alex Anzalone first signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2017. When he was on the field he performed well, but injuries in 2017 and 2019 limited his playing time, which eventually led to his move to the Detroit Lions in 2021.
Alex Anzalone spent five seasons with the Detroit Lions, but, much like during his time with the New Orleans Saints, injuries occasionally sidelined him. In 2021, he missed three of the 17 games, and in 2024 he suffered a broken left forearm that kept him out for six weeks.
Anzalone has still had a great NFL career playing in 111 games, 613 assisted tackles, 391 solo tackles, 13 sacks and 5 interceptions.
