Hold on all you West Michigan crustacean lovers, didn't you drive Red Lobster into bankruptcy because you ate all the shrimp?

Remember the endless shrimp deal? It was all you could eat, right, all kinds of shrimp? Red Lobster couldn't sustain business because of that promotion and had to file for bankruptcy and close many restaurants.

Well, that was 2023 but it's 2026 now and since emerging from bankruptcy they seem to be thinking why not try it again. What???

An article on the NYPost.com website quoted a reliable source at Bloomberg that "a limited-time version of the $20 all-you-can-eat shrimp offer could launch as soon as this month, Bloomberg reported, citing sources with knowledge of the plans."

Red Lobster simply said that it doesn’t have “anything to announce at this time,” but we all know how popular this deal was, for two decades even.

But will this delicious but creepy looking little sea crustacean be the hero of the day, or drive another bankruptcy? After all, Red Lobster lost a whopping $11 million in just one quarter alone in 2023 with that promotion.

If this does come true, the promotion will be for only a limited time, this time. It comes after the old permanent deal caused Red Lobster to lose a whopping $11 million in a single quarter alone. Yikes!

You see, before 2023 the endless shrimp deal was occasionally a promotion, but when they thought they had the shrimp by the tail, so to speak, they made it permanent. Bye bye Red Lobster.

Flash forward, Red Lobster is out of bankruptcy, September 2024, and is now fighting for customers.

There are three Red Lobster locations in West Michigan. In Grand Rapids on 28th Street, SE, in Grandville on Rivertown Point, SW, and on Sternberg Road in Muskegon.

So, maybe it will be HELLO SHRIMP again!
