John Ball Zoo Asks Gardeners For Help
Are you a pro at gardening? Have some extra produce? John Ball Zoo needs your help!
The zoo is on the hunt for pesticide-free garden crops for the animals.
Zookeeper David Blaskiewicz says the animals have plenty of food, but adding fresh cherry tomatoes, beans, peppers and other seasonal items is a type of life enrichment.
They are asking gardeners to bring any abundance of produce to the zoo at 1300 West Fulton. If you have any questions you can give them a call at 616-336-4301.
