Lainey Wilson’s Engagement Announcement Comes With a Nod to Kalamazoo

It's early into 2025, and country singer and Yellowstone star Lainey Wilson is already having a fantastic year.

From her Grammy nomination for her latest album Whirlwind, to sharing her inspirational story as a part of a children's book about the Grand Old Opry, she's stayed busy and constantly at the top of everyone's mind. Lainey Wilson is getting Married! 

The singer announced her engagement to 4 year boyfriend, Devlin "Duck" Hodges via social media just before Valentine's Day.

The post came with a reference to one of the singles off of her latest album, but obviously she's not from Michigan or in Michigan in this photograph. So, how does her special moment involve Kalamazoo?

The caption given to her engagement announcement is a reference to her popular love song "4x4xU". She's already recently shared that the song was written with Duck in mind, and in the lyrics of the song, there is a special reference to the southwest Michigan city.

From here to Kalamazoo

So while she didn't get engaged in Michigan, we'll always have a tiny part of her special story.

Recently Lainey said she wanted a bolder of a ring, and if you see her video at the end of the carousel above you'll see she got exactly what she wished for.
