Kicker Jake Bates Channels Michael Scott After Lions Overtime Win
I don't think I'm alone when I say being a Detroit Lions fan this season has seemed even more stressful than previous seasons.

Now maybe it's because I've never seen a team this good in my life, or that our head offensive and defensive coordinators left to become head coaches for their own teams.
Regardless of the reason, Sunday's recent game against the New York Giants was incredibly stressful.
Based on the record alone you would think that the 6-4 Lions would have no problem beating the Giants who were 2-9.

But for almost the entire game the Giants were in control.
The Lions game came down to a 4th down where kicker Jake Bates needed to hit a career long 59 yard field goal to send the game into overtime.
The Lions would go on to win the game in overtime thanks to a 59-yard Jahmyr Gibbs touchdown run, followed by a 4th down sack by Aiden Hutchinson.
After the game Jake Bates was talking to the media when a reporter asked him if he had any superstitions before taking a big kick like he did in the fourth quarter
If you didn't get the reference Bates was referring to, it's from this scene in the tv show The Office when Michael Scott played by Steve Carrel is asked if he is superstitious and gives this icon response.
I'm not gonna lie, I am a little worried about the Lions thanksgiving day game against the Packers, but I have 100% confidence in Jake Bates being clutch if needed again.
