Local Radio DJs Take Home The Gold in West Michigan Summer Games

We came... we saw... and we conquered.

While most eyes are on Paris, France for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, we're trying to show that some athletes are still back home in West Michigan. That's why it seemed like an obvious win to have our own home grown version of the Summer Games against another media morning show with a similar name.

That's why we (Big Joe and Laura) challenged our friends Todd Chance and Michelle Dunaway at Fox 17's Morning Mix to a 5 event version of the summer games, which we dubbed the Mix Summer Games.

We held 5 events, testing to see how each morning show pair would do, and it was pretty heated along the way. The first event was a game of knockout hosted at the Grand Rapids Gold's training facility.

The Morning Mix walked away with the win, but Big Joe and Laura tied up the games after a round of putt putt at AJ's Family Fun Center

Next, they made their way down to the go kart track at AJ's, and had a race that left Big Joe and Laura in the dust of Todd and Michelle...

That didn't stop Big Joe and Laura from dancing their hearts out while doing their own version of ribbon dancing... tieing up the games 2-2, going into the final round

And while Michelle may have finished first, it wasn't enough to help the Morning Mix bring home the gold...
