This is one of the most wholesome things that I've ever seen in my life.

And it all started when a stuffed dog named Randi was accidentally left behind at a West Michigan donut shop.

We covered the story of Randi back in late January after Sandy's Donuts posted a photo of the stuffed pup in hopes of reuniting them with their person.

West Michigan Kids Leave Stuffed Animals to Keep Lost Stuffie Company

On January 30, five days after Sandy's originally posted about finding Randi, they posted an unexpected update. It seems many kids throughout West Michigan had learned about Riley, and wanted to provide them with some company.

LOTS of company.

And just like that, Randi was no longer alone.

The folks at Sandy's were truly touched by these acts of kindness from some of their littlest customers, saying,

This is now another beautiful and incredibly wholesome part of the Sandy’s story. It makes me so proud of the Westside, and of the beautiful humans raising beautiful humans to think of this. - Sandy's Donuts

Randi’s new friends the moose, the goat, the frog, and the t-rex wouldn't be the only ones that joined, though.

In an update on February 13, Sandy's shared that the outpouring of kindness from the kids of West Michigan had sparked an idea. Now, they're looking to "spread the love outside the walls of Sandy's."

Now through the end of February, Sandy's will have a basket located at the front of the shop along with Randi and some of Randi’s friends.

Sandy's is asking folks in the community to bring in a brand-new stuffed animal (if they are able).

They'll collect those stuffies, and at the end of the month, will load them up in their delivery van along with some treats, and take them to the kids at DeVos Children's Hospital.

The stuffies will find new kiddos and the donuts will find very deserving staff members. - Sandy's Donuts

Who would've thought that a stuffed pup that was accidentally left behind would lead to such a kind and beautiful movement?
