Our social media feeds are filled with photos of lost or found pets across West Michigan on a daily basis.

But recently one post about a lost "special pup" caught my eye.

I came across a post from Sandy's Donuts on Leonard Street in Grand Rapids on Saturday afternoon as I was scrolling through Facebook.

Turns out that Randi, a "very special pup", had sadly been left at the store.

The folks at Sandy's have said that they are "taking care of her until she is reunited with her little owner."

And it seems they are taking very good care of Randi - she was pictured next to one of the most delicious-looking donuts I've ever seen and a jug of green juice. (Neither are probably good for actual dogs, but they're just fine for Randi.)

(For the record, Randi appears to be the black rottweiler Beanie Baby sold by TY.)

Will Randi the Lost Pup in Grand Rapids be Reunited With Their Owner?

It's hard to say right now, but we've seen it happen before. Back in April 2024, Mandey Kay took to a local Facebook group to share that they'd found a "well loved stuffie" in a parking garage at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids.

That well-loved stuffie was quickly reunited with its owner, Kinsley, and helped renew Kinsley's mom's faith in the community.

I went inside and cried after giving Mandey the biggest hug because holy moly this world can be quite poopy, but having such beautiful and kind people like Mandey makes me believe there truly is so much good out there.- Elizabeth

So far, no one has claimed Randi, but we're hoping that someone will soon. (In the meantime, it appears that unlimited donuts and juice are in Randi's near future.)
