Meet Prada – Christine’s Pet of the Week!

Prada [Humane Society of West Michigan][/caption]This week, the Humane Society of West Michigan brought in Prada, an 8-year-old Border Collie/Husky Mix. She definitely has a mix of both breeds.

Her black & white fluffy coat is that of a collie and her different colored eareyes is that of a husky. Because Prada is 8 she is part of the "Silver Paws Society" which means her adoption fee is waived!

However, just because Prada is 8, doesn't mean she doesn't have a lot of life and energy left in her. She loves walks and loves attention from people. She would probably do best in a home with adults only or older children.

On Monday, 5/16, from 6:15-7:30p the Humane Society will be holding another behavioral class for dogs. This seminar will be "Difficult to Handle Dogs." The shelter is asking for a $10 donation which goes directly to helping out the animals. TONIGHT - Help out the Humane Society and have some fun at Stella's! It's Iron Bartender Night which means there will be mixologists making some cool and special drinks for everyone. The event is from 6-9p at Stella's in Downtown Grand Rapids. There will be a $5 cover charge which will go directly to the Humane Society of West Michigan.

Finally, get the kids signed up for summer classes. They have different classes for kids of different ages such as Vet Camp for Teens, Camp Kindness, Critter Career Camp and more.
