Michigan Lawyers Office’s 4 Words of Advice Has Gone Viral

Growing up in Michigan, I had a lot of family members working in law enforcement.

I have nothing but respect for the brave men and women who put on a uniform every day to protect and serve.

That being said, I'm still scared sometimes when I get pulled over.

My biggest fear is usually how fast they got me on radar.

I also worry about being nervous, because when that happens, I tend to have word vomit and just keep talking and talking.

Which could end up doing more harm than good if I were to say something incriminating that could be used against me in a court of law.

That's why, when I saw this public service announcement from the National Lawyers Guild's Detroit & Michigan Chapter I laughed because while it was very blunt it got right to the point.
