Michigan Judge Halts Virtual Hearing Over Mom’s Sandwich-Making
A Michigan mom recently found herself in hot water with a judge after she showed up late to a zoom court appearance and was making a sandwich.

The crazy moment happened to Asja Outerbridge, who was scheduled to appear in the 36th District Zoom courtroom earlier in the day at 9 AM, but didn't log on until around 1 PM.
The judge was unhappy because she was four hours late but she tried to tell him that her paperwork said 1 PM, but when she held it up to the camera, the judge could in fact see the correct time of 9 AM.

As the judge continued talking with her, she can be seen on the video making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and wearing what appeared to be pajamas, which made the already unhappy judge even more frustrated.
She told the judge she was making the sandwich for her sick daughter.
The judge told her that he was sorry she wasn't feeling well, but that she was still in court and needed to treat it as such.
After going back and forth with a few more exchanges the judge finally had enough and booted the woman from the zoom court call.
I understand everyone needs to show up to court, even via Zoom, properly dressed, but I can also empathize with her as a single mom trying to take care of a sick kid.
