Gov. Whitmer Challenges Michiganders to Draw the Detroit Lions Logo Ahead of Playoff Game
As the Detroit Lions gear up for their highly anticipated playoff game against the Washington Commanders this weekend, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is rallying the state with a fun and creative challenge: draw your best version of the Detroit Lions logo.
The contest, announced earlier this week on the Govenor's social media, encourages Michiganders of all ages to showcase their artistic skills in honor of the Lions’ remarkable season.

Gov. Whitmer even shared her attempt at drawing the iconic logo, a nod to her video effort during Detroit’s hosting of the NFL Draft last April:
“The Lions have captured our hearts and made us all hopeful for a Super Bowl this year,” said Gov. Whitmer in a statement. “Join me by rooting them on by submitting your version of the team logo. Let’s show the Lions that we got their backs as they enter the playoffs.”
While you'll be able to flex your incredible interpretation of the Detriot Lions, it’s also a chance for you to get some serious bragging rights as a Lions fan. The winning design will be featured across Gov. Whitmer’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
Whether you’re a die-hard Lions fan or just want to cheer on Michigan’s team in a unique way, this contest is the perfect opportunity to show your support no matter your skill level. So, grab your sketchpad, unleash your inner artist, and help the Lions roar into the playoffs with pride.
And here's a tutorial in case you need a little extra help:
Entries are now open, so don’t miss your chance to share your Detroit Lions pride with the whole state.
