Michigan Snow Plow Struck By Out-of-Control Pickup On Slick Roads
Growing up in Michigan I learned at an early age how to drive in snow and other bad weather conditions. When I talk to friends who live in other states I brag about how we Michiganders can handle anything.
Then a video like this comes out and shows how dumb some people can be behind the wheel.
Pickup Truck Crashes Into Oakland County Plow Truck
Oakland County Roads shared a video on social media platform X (formally Twitter) of a pickup truck driver trying to pass a county truck and losing control and crashing into the guard rail and then the country truck.
The video was captured on SB I-75 just north of the Square Lake Road exit in Bloomfield Township, MI.
The video starts out with the snow plow in the right lane plowing snow and laying down salt.
A second later we see a silver pickup truck attempting to pass on the left.
Just as the truck is halfway past the snow plow truck it loses control.
As the rear wheels spin out, the truck cuts in front of the snow plow truck and heads toward the guard rail.
Then the truck smashes into the guard rail.
The force of the impact turns the truck and the snow plow then T-bones into it.
The force from the collision forced the snow plow to shift one lane to the left while the pickup truck was smashed between the truck and the guardrail.
You then can see the snow plow in the middle lane.
The driver slowly moves the snow plow to the shoulder and comes to a stop.
