The weekend brought us plenty of rain, enough to melt away all the snow. WZZM 13 reports that more snow is on the way. A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect this afternoon around 4 p.m. for Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon, Newaygo, Montcalm, Mecosta, Oceana, Mason and Lake Counties.

A wind advisory has also been issued for areas south and east of Grand Rapids. People in those areas should prepare for winds reaching up to 55 mph. Winds should die down later on this evening.

Back to the snow, the National Weather Service predicts snow accumulation anywhere from 2 to 5 inches from Monday evening through the day on Tuesday. Tie that together with the high winds, and already wet roads, be prepared for icy conditions and blowing snow.
