Hostess, the company behind such treats as Ding-Dongs, Ho-Ho's, Devil Dogs, and, of course, Twinkies, has petitioned a federal bankruptcy court for permission to close down their operations. The company blames the end of an era on a bakers' strike.

The closing will ultimately result in nearly 18,500 workers losing their jobs, including employees of their bakeries, distribution centers, and outlet stores.

Of course, there's already outrage online from Twinkie loyalists, wondering what they will do without their favorite treat. While others are discussing their favorite Hostess creations (Hostess is also the brand behind Wonderbread).

Truth be told, I've never cared for Twinkies. In fact, I didn't even try one until I was in my mid-twenties, and honestly, I didn't really care for it. I thought that I held a pretty unpopular opinion until I posted something about it on Facebook, and dozens of people agreed with me. So, tell me, Channel 95-7 listeners - what do you think of Twinkies?
